Cream ales first started being brewed sometime in the mid 1800's and Lockport was founded in the mid 1800's (1853 to be exact) so with the two being so close, we couldn't pass up on making that connection. "1853" is light and crisp with a smooth vanilla aroma and taste. This beer finishes with just enough hop bitterness to balance it out and remind you that it is a beer.
